In the diverse worlds of plants and animals, we may come upon all types and forms of applications of ball and dome shapes. When it comes to the sheating of a body, the sphere is the most frequently found form in nature.
Examples where human beings make use of spherical shapes are to be found in various vessel-like structures like pitchers, vases and container, but also in nomadic tent structures of people who live in complete sync with the cycles of nature. In the monumental architecture of governments and sacred buildings of all world religions, the cupola is a main architectural element included in churches, cathedrals and minsters of Christians, stupas or dagobas of Buddhists, mosques of Moslems and in temples of Hindus.
There is no need of prestigious psychologists to demonstrate that architectural shapes have a deep influence on us.
