Outer covering

The tipi tents are made from high quality fabrics which are waterproof and treated against mold.

Cotton fabrics are not necessarily recommended for continuous use and with plenty of snow or humidity, especially in winter.

    Summer season and transitional periods

We use a medium weight cotton / polyester blend fabric 50/50% - with the fabric weight 440 gr/m² for this time and in the lowlands - below 900m a.s.l.

Because of the polyester content, the blended fabric is not as problematic as pure cotton. They are also to be used until the season changes to be more humid.

    Tension elements

For a safe and practical clamping we use so-called clamp lock straps, they are ideal both during assembly and for retightening.

In order to increase the life, reinforcements are added in places subject to heavy loads, as is the case here with these lacing pin holes.

    Summer season and transitional periods

We use a heavy cotton fabric with a weight of 600 gr/m² for this time and at an altitude above 900m a.s.l. (above the fog line). The heavier fabric is more resistant towards the sun and it's UV radiation is encountered with more matter / material weight.

    Long-term use

Tipis, which are permanently in the same place, remain well preserved for many years with PVC fabric.

    Public spaces

PVC - 650 gr/m² according to DIN 4102 is flame-retardant (B1/M2). It is available in the colors champagne (light beige) and white.

The natural feel in a PVC teepee is maintained when the liner (inner tent) is made of cotton.
